LOOOL Anduin confirmed they killed Ambassadors of Sylvanas! I remember arguing with a dude who kept saying they died to wolf or some crap
Grazrug, do you keep count on how many times you have complained about "human potential"?I remember you bringing it up in many threads, and it isn't even a far feched concept for a race, or even a new one in factIt has existed since before classic, and hasn't been anything more than a mild part of the larger equation, actually it has been used as anything more than flavor about 2 or 3 times in the entirety of important lore
As more and more info come out, we hear less and less of the Desolate Council. This governing body that filled the gap with Sylvanas gone.A group that used their free will to decide they don't want to live on forever.Just so ready to find out how significant they'll be.How much influence have they built up.How deep do their hands go in things we're finding out.I'm really excited.
Are you lot serious about "Alliance bias"? If that is the case in BFA, then it is about blooming time! I'm sick to the teeth of the actual horde bias that has existed for many years now. I'm not bothering to give examples, cos the "For the Horde" crowd here are clearly delusional. Also, Anduin, is a nice guy, wants peace, has done since he was a kid. Life events have changed him, like they do to all of us.
It seems like every single comment thread is filled with, "well this is HORDE BIAS," and "clearly this is ALLIANCE BIAS," comments.Good lord, people. This expansion hasn't even launched yet and people are losing their minds over speculation. If you're getting that worked up over a fictional game, its time to take a step away from the computer and get a new hobby for a while.
These comments about wanting to kill Sylvanas are baffling to me. I fear people aren't thinking this through. Has Sylvanas done bad things? Yes, of course. Is everything she does evil? Despite what you think...no. It benefits her side, it's evil to those against her. Look, she's not a goody-goody like anduin. she's not looking for world peace. she's a flawed character. she's tough. her morality is crooked. and if blizzard kills her off, that is by far the dumbest decision they could make. because what's the alternative? a horde version of anduin? sure, that'd work...if this was a single faction game. Drop all personal opinions on anduin and sylvanas for a bit. sure, anduin is a bit dumb and sylvanas is a bit angry (well, all three windrunners are, but she's the one in power) but drop all that for just one moment and humor me. think about the game as a whole. this game, even during times it makes zero sense, is a horde versus alliance game. only those who blind themselves to the story can honestly say one is good and one is evil. they're all made up of characters. the good ones on both sides give the players a reason to be proud. the evil ones on both sides give reason for conflict in the story and give the players a reason to want to attack. That is the nature of this game. If sylvanas is killed....we're losing a source of conflict. She is not garrosh. garrosh was designed to be dislike by both sides. But Sylvanas? the proof is in the reaction. look at the amount of emotion she generates! She's loved by some, hated by others. That is *perfect* for a game like this! It's a source of conflict, a reason to keep the pvp story going. Those who love her, continue to do so. Those who hate her, fight against her! But don't ask for blizzard to kill her off. Because then what? What happens then? They'll have to replace her but what character could generate these emotions in the playerbase? Just look at the comments at how excited people are, either for or against her. To kill her off would be to kill a central plot character without a proper step in to replace her. It would be incredibly dumb of them.....I'm totally worried they'll kill her off and we'll get something dumb to replace her.final note?
Please, everyone; calm down. Focus on the good things coming with this expansion rather than bashing the bad. It's getting incredibly old.
To the dearest people suggesting everyone to stop "complaining".There is such thing called passion. You can be passionate about your favourite sport, band or a music genre, you can discuss symbolism of classic literature or hidden meaning of a painting with the same fervor people display here. We just happen to be passionate about video game story... which many of us followed since it's very first verses. For us Warcraft provides a world full of life, characters to empathize with and care about, like a very long series of books that you can become part of. When people express their concerns about current state of this world, they're doing so, because they are afraid of it collapsing, or because a particular character they like takes turn for worse. This is as much "nerd" as arguing about how much of an impact would particular football player make if placed in a different team.If you feel superior to all the people "fighting like kids over a fictional game", it's not mandatory to state so in the comments. This is a place for discussion and your remarks neither add anything to it, nor are they going to change anyone's disposition towards the story and how they approach it. Let people interested in lore exchange their opinions on it - you're not forced to read any of it, especially if you know it's an article on a story piece which will definitely spark a heated argument. Some may approach it in more civilized manner, some may try to pass their point of view for the only right one with the foam to their mouth - aside from some very persistent individuals, there is no one to be told to shut up.So, please, let people who care talk about things they like. Peace.
Now THAT takes both independence and guts.
The Kingdom of Lordaeron, has nothing to do with Stormwind. They shared a racial heritage, like the Trolls, Elves and Naga, but they were not the same Kingdom. The natives of the Kingdom of Lordaeron and many of Quel'thalas are Foresaken. Here's a part of the monologue from Sylvanas, when doing the Silverpine Forest questline:The people who called this land their home in life, do so in death as well. But the Alliance does not recognize our rights. They claim this land is their own while attempting to invalidate the claims of the founders of this kingdom.I will never allow it... Never!Lordaeron belongs to the Forsaken - always and forever.
"We are not currently at war.""I propose what amounts to a single day of a cease-fire"Yeah....Blizz really need to look up what cease-fire means. But any way Sylvanas ended up keeping her end of the agreement. No Alliance human was harmed. Sucks what Sylvanas did, but at the end of the day its nothing of Anduin's business what the Horde does to each other.
