So, BoP-style perks. Most interesting change is the permanent no-daze on Tailoring. This will be a huge help leveling up and doing world quests and will remain incredibly useful until we eventually get flying. And probably after that if they add another no-fly island (boo!). I plan to switch all my alts that currently have 100 herbalism (for WQs) to tailoring. Their second profession will remain engineering for the loot-a-rang and nitro boosts.- Herbalism, Mining, Skinning: No perks- Alchemy: Alchemist stone trinket. - Blacksmith: BoP ilvl 355\/370\/385 plate armor. - Enchanting: Enchant your own bracers for absorb shield while hearthing, lower hearth cooldown, or faster hearthing. - Engineering: Previous stuff still works, and 3 new self-only belt enchants; a single-target 5s fear, a frontal shield generator, and a snare dispel. Doubt I'd use any of those over Nitro Boosts, but interesting. Also BoP googles.- Inscription: BoP caster offhands- Jewelcrafting: BoP agility\/intellect staves- Leatherworking: Diving Helmet\/Suit. Don't know if BoP though. BoP fist weapons and bows. - Tailoring: Battle flags, unknown if BoP. Self-only cloak enchants for no-daze, safe fall, and reduced threat.
someday...\r\rsomeday i keep hoping Eng. will be a worthy spec again like in vanilla and TBC...\r\rinstead of the joke it has become :(
\r\r- Enchanting: No perks\r\rEnchanting has wrist enchants that only they can use.
OMG THEY LISTENED TO ME ABOUT THE CLOAKS! YAY!

Good catch on enchanting bracers, edited my post. Pretty uninspiring perks, but they do exist.Engineering is still the best perk profession by far-- every one of my 12 L110 characters has engineering for the loot-a-rang, which I find to be an absolutely mandatory quality of life perk. I wish they'd allow engineers to sell BoE loot-a-rangs again, because it's a bummer that I feel forced to use a specific profession on every character.Nitro boosts are great too, as are unlimited-usage goblin gliders. But I could live without those, loot-a-rang not so much. Once you get used to it, you gotta have it.

I'll personally be using either the Fear or Shield belt instead of Nitro Boosts on my Outlaw Rogue, Gnomish Gravity Well, they're adding an Engineering Battle Rez in BFA along with a ton of other useful looking things, a Hovercraft mount that looks like it will cross water similar to the Water strider, not to mention the hundreds of thousands of gold I made from the felglass during legion. Easy to dismiss the perks you listed when you intentionally downplay their usefulness and ignore things outright
So, BoP-style perks.\r\rMost interesting change is the permanent no-daze on Tailoring.\r\rImportant to note that the enchant has no effect while mounted, so you will still be dazed on mounts. This actually isn't really a useful enchant outside of War Mode to keep accidentally pulled mobs from dazing you when you're kiting enemy players.
Ahh-- did you actually test it? Yeah, it's useless then. Some pretty sad perks for tailoring, but at least they're better than the hearthing bracer enchants.sadtrombone.wav

Easy to dismiss the perks you listed when you intentionally downplay their usefulness and ignore things outrightI'm not sure how what they said was disingenuous. Most of what you listed, was already listed by them. They already listed belt and cloak enchants - all you did is listed one specifically, and while infinite it's the one you actually don't want to use given how cheap goblin gliders are - and this is important because the cloak version has a longer (5min) cooldown and SHARES a cooldown with the goblin gliders (which have a 3min cooldown). The parachute cloak is far and away better utility in comparison and DOES NOT share a cooldown with gliders. The Flexweave Underlay does work like a limited glider assuming you get a fast enough start (it preserves forward momentum - fantastic when combined with a hunter's jump for example). It's also important to note that everything engineering provides is worthless in rated PVP - this alone is a major blow to Engineering's worth - the primary profession for PVPers since Vanilla. Many of the pets and mounts require significant farming\/luck to acquire - either from old reputations, dungeons, or world drops.(Most you can also just buy for less than the materials+recipe costs)Jeeves as a 'perk' of engineering is genuinely disingenuous - it has the massive caveat that getting a Jeeves requires farming a very rare drop, and is very time intensive\/expensive to craft - it's in no way a guaranteed or easy too unlock perk - most engineers are more likely than not to be Jeeves-less. Nearly everything else listed so far comes from a profession trainer for pocket change and requires no where near the investment to acquire. To top things off, unlike things like the Loot-a-rang and Moll-e, Jeeves is NOT a toy and for every character you want Jeeves on, you have to re-do the grind to get him. Many toys have been added to the game that overlap with Engineering's remaining utility - Moll-E versus the whistle from the Mail Quest for example. The Grand Mammoth\/Yak for repairs and vendoring (and Transmog, seeing as Engineers get a consumable Transmog tool in BFA). Engineering is losing a lot of it's more uniquely valuable utility with every expansion - making it less of an obvious choice over other professions which are continually GAINING utility items that normally should have been Engineering craftables. Tailoring's Nets and cloak enchants for example, competing with the Flexweave Underlay and belt tinker (which I bet will share a cooldown besides). It USED to be that Engineering was the go-to profession for PVP and combat because it was the only one to offer things like grenades, bombs, actually valuable (sometimes prone to backfire) combat utility items, seaforium etc. Those days are long past. Engineering is now simply the most gimmicky profession - it does very little that is exclusive to Engineering, and what remains exclusive to engineering amounts to time savers more than anything else. The one place where Engineering continues to be more than the sum of it's gimmicks are stealth classes - who benefit greatly from things such as the rocket boost and goblin gliders to get around the battlefield quickly while stealthed, as the majority of engineering items can be used without breaking stealth - thus putting them into the fight on-time or sooner than expected while still maintaining their all important element of surprise. This is a significant advantage in unrated battlegrounds and world PVP over their peers without engineering. Rogues come out a fair bit ahead because when their gadgets do backfire (such as rocket fuel leaks) they can dispel it with Cloak of Shadows.Edit: YES, Engineering IS getting a Belt enchant - which inflicts fear. We also LOST frag belt. It also still competes with the Rocket boost belt tinker which is pound for pound more valuable in and out of combat in terms of utility. It's one possible niche is to fill in a soft CC in PVE fights that your general class toolkit and your party members toolkits can't provide enough of (that is, very specific fights for a limited combination of classes)
