I think people who already pre-ordered Chronicles vol3 will be pissed to see its first 2 chapters are posted here :D
I think people who already pre-ordered Chronicles vol3 will be pissed to see its first 2 chapters are posted here :DIt's really based on what Amazon has decided to share. If none of this was public, and we bought the book on the 27th, we'd probably just do highlights of the most important lore like Arthas' motivations. But the publisher\/Amazon has chosen to put a sizable amount of juicy lore out there, and share another chapter with Polygon, so might as well highlight it for those interested.
All the way through Cata? Wasn't expecting that
I think people who already pre-ordered Chronicles vol3 will be pissed to see its first 2 chapters are posted here :D\r\rI'm not pissed at all. Nice to see it's going to be a decent book. Enjoying the art work.
Remember: the Chronicle books won't rewrite the novels and manga any time soon. Nope.
I would buy it even if they released a pdf for free. Love supporting the company, and it is a great coffee table book.
I love the style of art in these Chronicles books. It's just so damn good! That first Honor Hold art with the Dark Portal in the distance is superb. Imagine this style of art in a Divinity Original Sin 2 type of game, only with the Warcraft story, and set in the Warcraft Universe. That would be one truly spectacular game.\r\r\r\r\r\rI think people who already pre-ordered Chronicles vol3 will be pissed to see its first 2 chapters are posted here :D\r\rAnd why would anyone be angry over a preview? Do a lot book readers often become enraged over such pettiness or something?
I am seeing islands on that Azeroth map that aren't marked or named. I've not seen them before. Hmmmmmmmmmmm
I am seeing islands on that Azeroth map that aren't marked or named. I've not seen them before. HmmmmmmmmmmmEvery island on that map already exists in lore.Tel'Abim is the one east of Tanaris.Kezan and Lost Isles are the ones southwest of the Maelstrom.Crestfall and Zul'Dare are the ones south of Gilneas.Zandalar is the one north of Pandaria. The ones south of Tanaris and big one west of Feralas were sunk in the Cataclysm but were there in Vanilla. The Wandering Isle is the one southwest of Stranglethorn.
Worth noting: with this placement of the Broken Isles and Zandalar, the warfront is pushed massively toward the Eastern Kingdoms. We've had a datamined reference to a Barrens Warfront, but I doubt they would get very far with that. A blockade between The Isles and Zandalar would eliminate a lot of routes into Horde territory, make Pandaria largely for the Horde's taking, and would set Kul Tiras as the main site of fighting. As a Horde fanboy since WC2, this is good. Very good.
I like that idea on the Lich King a lot, actually. It makes me feel sad that he's yet another misguided 'hero'.Enslaved Broken also roamed Coilfang Reservoir, and nearly all of them welcomed the promise of freedom. The Alliance forces shattered their bonds as they charged through the naga's fortress.Though it would take time, balance would return to Zangarmarsh. Telreor's inhabitants were now safe to expand across the region. I really really like the idea behind the Alliance freeing the Broken slaves on Coilfang Reservoir! It gives opportunity and a nice sounding story to add these ones as an Allied Race, to be the race added in the opposite faction due to Mag'har Orcs.
interesting, now I'm curious from those who owns the first 2 volume, how good these books are.

Not because of wowhead preview but because Amazon gave the preview. I guess they are new into online book world or just simply raging because a portion of WoW community loves to rage for no actual reason.

I guess they have never pre-ordered any book online before

Sometimes while doing my daily emissary grind I pause and think of all the things that happened in legion and immediately after this I think about all the things we did since wow launched. Guys we are on the most amazing journey ever taken! I go read the other two chronicles books again! Love you all!
Huh. I didn't expect to get a new explaination for why the Lich King went cray cray. But I like it ! It's far more interresting than "I want life to die because I'm evil."
Am I the only one who thinks Kul'tiras is placed wrong? My impression is that the artist drew it from looking at BfA maps, ignorant that the island is supposed to have moved after the Cataclysm. Originally, it was much closer to the EK mainland.
Waiting for the new monstrous retconns... Yay...
