The guide does not state that Jan'alai adds to the timer, and it worked the same in old ZA. Only killing Akil'zon and Nalorak add time. In addition, it's intended that you fail the run if the prisoner dies during Halazzi. That happened to us on our very first run.As for stealth--the scouts going to Jan'alai see stealth for sure. The lynx packs in Halazzi's gauntlet would probably trigger too, and you'd have to kill the 4 pack before the bear boss.I'm a rogue so I'll never be in favor of saying 'bring range dps' :p Everyone wants a bear mount and I don't want people to think they need to rely on certain classes to succeed, beyond having some basic CC, replen, buff synergy etc. As for the first boss, it's slightly awkward but entirely possible for melee to switch to dps the Kidnapper, his hitbox isn't out of range. I've also been able to kill the eagles inadvertently with Howling Blast when I brought my DK.The first time we completed the bear run, we killed all the totems as well as the Spirit of the Lynx, haha. Now that I've done it both ways on timed runs, I agree that leaving the healing totems/spirit up is more efficient (although, a recipe for disaster during regular ZA with a new pug tank) and I've noted as such in the guide.We'll most likely be featuring a video of the bear run with commentary in a few days, as well!
Nice strat. Im hoping to get that mount soon. I only did the old version of the instance once i believe... As the tank though maybe I should get a little bit better gear first.On a side note (hope this doesn't break some sort of "going off topic" rule) what is that flaming skull helm in the picture?
