I like how my statement about stockpiling Primordial Saronites became a major discussion.Anyways, here's my logic behind it:-Because heroics are going to be more difficult in Cataclysm, and they will be the main focus for getting JP (and even if you did lesser content you'd just be spending ages farming JP), there won't be as many groups going until probably tier 12 raiding tier.-During that time people will want Shadowmournes for the guild achievements AND the epic Bind on Use items you get as a result (Jaina's Locket, Sylvanas' Music Box, etc)-25 Primordial Saronites is a daunting amount to get either way. Unless Blizzard is stupid enough to put them at 1-2 Justice Points (which I greatly doubt), you'd still need to do some heroics to farm them.-DKs are probably the highest concentration class on every server, and they can make Shadowmourne. It's also easy to level up a DK to 80 anyways. There's also likely to be a lot of Paladins as a result of early Wrath (thanks to them being FotM in PvP) and later on (for both fronts in some sort of way). The same also applies to Warriors, who have done well for most of the expansion.-If you're really arsed to sell them now, like most people probably will, the market price will crash, due to lack of demand and heightened supply, becoming worse than Runed or Crusader Orbs possibly.-If you decide to gamble it and convert to Justice Points, then I don't really know what to say.
Conversion has changed to 1 EoT/EoF = 11.53 JP, so it is now slightly better to wait and buy heirlooms.e.g. Tattered Dreadmist Mantle = 435 JP = 38.22 converted emblems (40 in 3.x)UPDATE:Latest PTR has raised the price of all heirlooms! You should now buy before 4.0.1e.g. Tattered Dreadmist Mantle = 2175 JP = 188 converted emblems (was 40 in 3.x). So they are going to be 4.5 times more expensive.
