Just a few quick thoughts. I play a Feral Druid, and I have come to the following conclusions:Claw = virtually useless in PVE once you get Rake. Rake is more efficient, and does bleed damage, which a Feral DPS Druid relies on heavilly, especially once they get Mangle. It IS good, however, for burst damage (which does have a couple of applications in PVE, where you have to bring Mob to 35% and finish him off with Item. I killed one mob three times with my bleeds before I went to burst damage and got the quest complete) which is what you're looking for in PVP.I don't PVP much, usually when I feel insane enoughto enter a BG, or if there's a weapon that is best in slot for raiding (Gladiator's Maul back in BC was such for Feral DPS. Anything else was for casting or tanking, since it was the transition between "If you're a raiding druid, you're a healbot" and "All Druid specs are raid-viable" I was fortunate to get into a guild that accepted the fact that I was quite firmly NOT going to respec Resto) 40+ Alterac Vally runs was enough to want to put my head under a dump truck just so the driver could run it over and end my suffering (it didn't help that out of all the AV's I did for that weapon, we only won three times in my battlegroup). What exactly is the benefit for going through the Swift Flight Form quest chain for the Druid? Non-Druids benefit more from it, since they get a shot at a mount that's normally unavailable. That being said, I HAVE, in fact, gone through that chain. It was rather amusing hearing my Shammy buddy over Vent when I popped Berserk and Mangle to deal with the Controllers in that instance. My DPS tripled in Bear form.I would have liked to have seen more hard-hitting questions, things that people are more concerned with. I think the PVP/PVE question was the hardest-hitting one. But given what was asked, it was an entertaining read, if nothing else.Edit: I used Mob and Item because I couldn't really think of the specific names, and didn't really want to wander Wowhead to try and find them. The one that comes to mind is for the quest In Service to Unholy.
Just a quick comment. It was mentioned that it was yet to be seen whether more slots per server were actually needed or not.Well, personally, I am on a goal to have a Char of each class. When Cata releases, I won't be able to. What's up with that? I'm sure there are lots of people in the same boat.Cheers.
What I'm wondering (and something I would probably do myself if I got a job for Blizzard... and I just may try...) is about the mesh issues that some of the characters have. Some examples include the female and possibly male taurens with a crooked left hand null, any weapon in the left hand sags too low or in some cases float a bit in front of the hand... fist weapons just sit there IN the arm... there are several others but I am wondering if Blizzard is ever going to fix them, especially in Cataclysm where there are new weapons to equip and have fun with. I know I'm a nerd but things like that that affect quality just catch my attention like non other.~Lycantis
the idea of different results for abilities whether they are used on a mob or a player is something we've been waiting for a long time. I don't think it's going to be a totally different effect but only a small change in the math. they nerfed some of the classes just because they did too much dps or heal in PVP and this affected PVE lovers aswell.great interview btw
Good job Malgayne, now I'll have to buy TCG cards to get that lovely camel mount instead of just raising a rep to exalted or something. :(
