In Blizzard's latest WoW Classic with Creators video, they interview Pat Nagle, the namesake of Nat Pagle, Angler Extreme. In real life, Pat Nagle is a WoW quest designer, not a fishing trainer.
In real life, Pat Nagle started off working on WoW as a quest designer--him and Jeff Kaplan were the first two members of the quest team. Nagle's first quest he designed was the
Limpeza no acampamento dos kobolds
.
As for the Fishing NPC, Alex Afrasiabi was creating profession trainers and asked Pat Nagle if he'd be fine having his name used for one. The catchy name took off, and now Nat Pagle is a familiar face across WoW expansions, showing up to fish and drink.
Many of you this weekend likely looked up how to complete
Nat Pagle, o pescador supremo
for
Artisan Fishing
but that's only the start of Nat's presence in WoW. Here are some of his other references:
Botas Radicais de Pesca de Nat Pagle
is one of the rewards from the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza.
In
Zul'Gurub
, you'll find Pagle's Point, an area scattered with fishing equipment and bottles. Players can fish up the boss
Gahz'ranka
, who drops fun items like
Carretel Quebrado do Nat Pagle
and
Exterminador de Peixes de Nat Pagle
.
You can befriend
as part of The Anglers in Mists of Pandaria. Once you've reached
Best Friend (Exalted)
you will have access to both
and
.
Nat has also made his way to Warlords of Draenor. He's both a
Garrison Follower
as well as the NPC presiding over the
Fishing Shack
. Once Nat is a follower, he'll periodically show up to cheer you on in the world, before leaving to drink a beer. But more importantly, you can catch Lunkers without bait, which can be turned in for
, needed to purchase fun items like
and
