Retired League of Legends esports player Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng is not only one of the best, but also one of the most well-known North American players in esports history. That recognition appears to extend to World of Warcraft, where he was recognized by another player. As is the price of fame, there will always be fans and detractors, but one guild mate bemoaning the retired esports champion was quickly balanced out by a wholesome apology and celebration of Doublelift's career.
Throughout his time in League of Legends esports, Peng played with Counter Logic Gaming, TSM, and Team Liquid; representing North America in nearly every All-Star tournament since 2013. Primarily known for playing Blitzcrank, Poppy, Lee Sin, Vayne, and Caitlyn, he was the first player in LCS history to reach 50,000 total CS, as well as the first to reach 1,000 and 1,500 kills in the LCS.
