Ve'nari Socket and Conduit Upgrade Items Capped to Season 1 in Patch 9.0.5

Ion Hazzikostas has announced a change that occurred on the Patch 9.0.5 PTR. which limits the Unbound Reality Fragment (Conduit Upgrade) Item to 226 and the Spatial Realignment Apparatus (Socket) Item to Season 1 Items.
The
now its upgrades capped to Item Level 226 on the tooltip on the Patch 9.0.5 PTR. This means that hoarding this item wouldn't be too useful going into Season 2 unless there are new conduits.
- Use: Discover an upgrade to a random Conduit from among your lowest item level Conduits, up to item level 226.

- Use: Add a socket to a Shadowlands Season 1 item that does not already have one. Can be used on Helms, Necks, Bracers, Belts, or Rings.
Will there be a Stygia Reset?

mentioning this as a response to a Stygia saving thread, this still doesn't answer the question that many top raiders have been asking, which is will Stygia be continue to be used in Season 2?
In order words, the top guilds have been hoarding the Stygia currency just in case it's useful or not reset in Season 2.
