Shadowlands Covenant Adventures: Missions Evolved
09/7/2020 em 09:59
Shadowlands Covenant Adventures are an evolution of the previous Garrison, Order Hall, and War Campaign missions which saw players manage a team of Champions along with various troops, deploying them on passive time based missions to acquire gold and other rewards. While previous versions of this system used threats and counters to create a passive percent based chance of success, Covenant Adventures involve more strategy and control, similar to
and tactical role-playing games.

Differences from previous Mission boards
Turn based, not just time.
Less RNG, more tactical ability management.
Adventurers (Champions) have stats, including health and damage values, which level up with experience.
Adventurer and Troop abilities are used in direct (albeit automatic) combat, with predictable outcomes rather than a chances of success.
Missions are launched and Adventurers are managed from the Scouting Map, located inside each Covenants stronghold (e.g. Sinfall for the Venthyr of Revendreth). Like previous iterations, Adventurers (aka: Champions) and troops have special abilities which are used in battle. Unlike previous versions however, they aren't just static counters, they're combat abilities used to directly to defeat enemy forces in battle.
Rather than a static window, there is now a battle map, split into two sections. At the top, enemy forces are presented in a variety of configurations, while at the bottom players are able to arrange their minions, allocating as many troops and adventurers as they see fit to counter the threat.

is used similar to War Campaign resources in order to launch missions, there are various rewards rewards to be earned, and the system is Mobile Companion App compatible, so you can keep up with it even while offline if you choose to do so.
Like previous expansions, the Covenant UI also tracks Adventurers along with missions available and in progress. It also gives easy access to your chosen Soulbind, and shows the status of Calling Quests, which appear to be a new type of daily Emissary, though precise details are currently unknown.
