We're starting 2015 with a bang with the first of
Method
's Mythic
Malho Imponente
guides! As announced in December,
Method will be working with Wowhead
to provide Mythic raiding guides for all the bosses in Highmaul and Blackrock Foundry.
Karrath Carpunhal
is the first and easiest boss in
Malho Imponente
. This is a Mythic strategy guide explaining the abilities, how to deal with the boss, raid setup and roles and class specific tips by various Method players as well!

Before fighting
Karrath Carpunhal
, you will have to deal with
Vul'gor
and his
Feiticeiro Giralança
s as the first thing in the instance.
First you need to kill
Feiticeiro Giralança
s because they cast
Armadura Calcinante
on
Vul'gor
which decreases the damage he takes by 30% for each stack he has.
Interrupt
Seta de Chamas

s cast so you can bring them together in order to maximize damage on them!
Vul'gor
will resummon
Feiticeiro Giralança
s after a while again, so make sure you deal with them before you get overun. Focus
Vul'gor
till he dies.

which will spawn a

Abilities and Explanation
Mythic difficulty has an exclusive Mythic-only mechanic:
Alarido da Multidão
.
This is essentially an energy bar which fills up by doing specific things in the fight.
The higher it grows the more damage the raid deals.
It's important to use this damage boost effectively so you can defeat
Karrath Carpunhal
.
Karrath Carpunhal
has 4 abilities:
Empalar
-
Kargath skewers an enemy, inflicting 72559 Physical damage every 1 sec. for 8 sec. If the target survives, they take increased damage from consecutive Impales.
This ability is cast on the current tank, dealing heavy damage.
After each Impale, the next one on the same target will deal 100% increased damage due to
Feridas Abertas
.
This can be dealt with by either tank swapping for each
Empalar
or by simply using cooldowns on the tank getting Impaled.

With blinding speed Kargath rushes around his target and strikes from various angles, inflicting physical damage every 0.5 sec. for 3 sec.
The shadow of Kargath will target a player and deal heavy area of effect damage to anyone within 7 yards of that player.
Make sure you don't stack up, so you can minimize the damage dealt by this ability.
Impulso Berserker
-
Kargath cuts his way towards you dealing 125% weapon damage to all targets in front of him every 0.5 sec for 6 sec.
Kargath will target one of the three furthest targets and chase them till he either kills the player, the whole duration of the cast is over, or if he steps on
Jato Flamejante
caused by
Pilar de Fogo
.
This ability causes very heavy damage to anyone standing in his way.
In Mythic Difficulty, the longer he casts
Impulso Berserker
, the more the
Alarido da Multidão
bar get filled. As a result, more damage will be dealt from your raid.

Kargath uses his chain to lash the 5 closest enemies and toss them into the arena's stands.
Karrath Carpunhal
will knock everybody and start casting
Arremessar Corrente
.
When the cast is finished, the closest 5 players will be tossed at the arena's stands. These players can now fight the crowd.
Fire Pillars
It's easy to notice the 4 Fire pillars on the ground. Those pillars will pop up at times during the fight, knock back anyone who is standing close to them, and fill the nearby area with
Jato Flamejante
. This deals damage if you stand there.
Bringing Kargath onto
Jato Flamejante
while he is casting
Impulso Berserker
will cause him to stop the cast.
Also in Mythic difficulty, every 5 seconds each activated Fire pillar will cast
Jorro de Chamas
on random players. This can be avoided if you move before it lands.
Tiger Pits
There are 4 tiger pits on the ground. Falling into them will cause your instant death.
Be careful not to get knocked by either the emerging Fire pillars of the knockback before Kargath casts
Arremessar Corrente
.
Gorjassangue Voraz
, the last Mythic mechanic, will come out of those tiger pits. They will fixate on random players debuffing them with

and instantly killing them if they reach their target.
You can stop
À caçada
by moving the tigers next to an active
Pilar de Fogo
. That will disorient them for some seconds and also fill the Roar of the Crowd bar.
After Kargath tosses the 5 players to the arena stands, they will have to deal with a number of adds. There are three types of adds:

Bruto de Ferro
. The further the fight continues, the more will appear. Killing them will result at increasing Roar of the Crowd Bar.

Execution
Arremessar Corrente
First of all, it's very important to assign 5 players that will be tossed at the arena stands and deal with the adds. One tank, one healer and three dps must be assigned and make sure they are closest targets to the boss when the cast of
Arremessar Corrente
is over. DPS with heavy AoE is preferred.
After being tossed, you land in the middle of the arena stands. Pick one side each time, pull as many of the mobs as possible, and AoE them down.
Bruto de Ferro
s will cast
Gancho
which slows players.
Bombardeiro de Ferro
s will release a Fire Bomb when they die which will deal AoE damage after it explodes few seconds later.
Taca-bile Bêbado
s will cast
Hálito Torpe
in front of them which will stun everyone standing in front.
Impulso Berserker
In Mythic difficulty, it is very important to maximize the duration that
Impulso Berserker
is being cast. Longer Kargath casting means more Roar of the Crowd Bar being filled up so more damage is being dealt by the raid.
One of the further targets will be picked, so think carefully who you want those players to be.
You can extend the kite by using a speed buff on the person kiting or using immune abilities like
Bloco de Gelo
or
Bênção de Proteção
(Paladins with
come handy for this case).
A rogue sprinting and then using
Evasão
is a good way to kite him for the full 20 seconds.
It is pretty simple to always be able to kite him for the full duration of the 20 seconds.
Also remember not to use threat reset abilities like
Fingir de Morto
or vanish if you are getting Beserker Rushed because Kargath will change target while continui causing unpredicatable deaths.
Gorjassangue Voraz
After a while in the fight a
Gorjassangue Voraz
will spawn trying to kill the target affected by

.
Make sure you track this debuff and position yourself so the
Gorjassangue Voraz
chasing you steps over
Jato Flamejante
so it gets disoriented.
Make sure this add is killed before the disorient is over. Never let it reach you or you will be killed.

Raid Setup and Roles
Method used 2 tanks, 5 healers, and 13 dps to kill

Assign a team of 5 players for the
Arremessar Corrente
. AoE dpsers are advised for this task. Alternating the tank going to the arena stands will result in less chance of a tank dying due to
Empalar
. The tank with open wounds should be getting in the
Arremessar Corrente
.
Preassign the players who should position themselves for the
Impulso Berserker
and make sure you coordinate to use things like

as a rogue by being one of the three furthest players, and then tank the whole duration with
