Foco do Quebra-joias
, which lets you mine geodes by special shrines as well as unsocket gear without destroying gems.
Jewelcrafting Questline
This questline will take us to shrines across the continent. Along the way, we'll discover a cave underneath Alcaz Island and talk to a Tortollan who really likes Steamy Romance Novels!
Translating the Book
Pesquisa de texto
:
<As you thumb through the book, the pages are unusually thick and embedded on their surface are runic-shaped jewels. Samuel Colton notices you looking and approaches.>
Ah, now that's a treasure I've had for many years. Beautiful, isn't it? No clue what it says, but I've always reveled at the thought of something being transcribed in jewels.
Come to think of it, I wonder if Zooey Inksprocket would be able to decipher it. Say, <name>, would you mind taking it over to her and see if she can translate it?
We turn in the book and learn it's written in earthen!
<You hand the book over to Zooey and ask for it to be translated. As she turns each page, wondrous expressions cross the scribe's face.>
Oh my, I've only ever heard of such books in existence but have never seen one up close. Do you know what this is?
It's ancient earthen. And this book must be centuries old!
Of course I'll help translate it! Only... well... my ancient earthen isn't so great. I'll need some reference materials.
You then collect several items in
Escavando o passado
to translate the book:
Let's see, Jane Hudson probably still has her book on ancient runes and carvings. And I believe Tal'ana has a few scrolls he picked up from Ulduar.
OH! And Toopa found what appeared to be some type of codex the last time he ventured out. I remember seeing the runes on it and they bear a striking resemblance to the ones in this book.
If you could convince them to uh... lend us those items for a bit, I believe I just might be able to create a translation for you. I won't even charge you for it!
In the process of retrieving the codex, the tortollan instead wants to tell you about the latest Steamy Romance Novel:
Why, yes, I did. And quite the read it is.
However, I came across other books as well. One you may be more interested in as it contains a tale of heartbreak and adventure!
The protagonist is this man, "Marcus," and it follows his tale as he woos women, and travels the world!
It's quite a naughty read.
That does sound interesting, however I'd really just like to borrow the codex, please.
That does sound exciting! Tell me more.
Well it starts off with this Marcus fellow having been captured by the pirates. He manages to persuade them to let him out after some time, though.
Along the way, the boat is attacked by none other than a kraken!
After a lot of fighting and some language not for the faint of heart, the ship is brought down and Marcus falls into the briny deep!
Very interesting so far, but about that codex...?
Oh, and then what happens?
Later he wakes up on the shores of a rather large island. His wounds were wrapped in seaweed and not too far off he could hear the most beautiful voice humming a song.
When he looked up to see who it was, well, this would never happen in real life but it was a naga!
That's crazy! A naga?!
Very much so! And then the naga came over and asked how he was feeling. And do you know what he said to her?
<Toopa pulls out the book and thumbs through the pages. He clears his throat and begins to recite from the book.>
"For a moment I thought I was rescued, but staring into those eyes of yours I'm apparently still lost at sea." And then she flirts back with him!
A naga and a human, conversing and cajoling each other. This is the reason why fiction is so fun to read, wouldn't you agree?
Young shells, always in such a hurry. Very well, here's the codex.
If you ever want to hear the rest of the story about Marcus, you know where to find me.
With all the materials assembled, you return to Zooey for her to translate the book, Unfortunately, the
Diário Ancestral
is entirely Steamy Romance Novel illustrations!
The Jewelcrafting trainer is able to make more sense of it:
This is incredible. The earthen were able to create jewels with light at special shrines he built. I mean, he mentions building several of them all over the world but...
<Samuel pulls out a few maps and scans them.>
Yes, I believe there are a few here. You should visit them, investigate them. See if what this book says is true.
Repairing the First Shrine
You then visit shrines. The Alliance are sent to
O Altar do Mar
while the Horde visit
O Altar da Natureza
. Once you find the shrine, you are then given a dungeon quest. The Alliance go to Tol Dagor (
Tol Dagor: Joia das Marés
) while the Horde go to Atal'Dazar (
Atal'Dazar: Nem tudo o que reluz...
).
O Altar do Mar
:
This next shrine is right here, in Tiragarde Sound.
According to the journal, the earthen mentions creating bluish hued jewels. I wonder if that's anything like the kyanite we have here.
Go and see if the shrine still stands. Hopefully it's still in a usable state.
I'll continue to study the journal for more information.
Tol Dagor: Joia das Marés
:
As you peer at the shrine in front of you, you can't help but revel at the construction of it.
Seamlessly constructed with azure jewels placed just so in a radial pattern, collapsing towards a single point.
A single, empty point. An absence you assume to be a mistake. Quickly surveying the area for something that might fit there, you find nothing.
However, someone who had not been there before has shown up. Perhaps he might know the whereabouts of the shrine's missing piece.
You then speak to "Slippery" Salton:
That shon of a wench took off with our hic - jewel. We shpent all that time carvin' it out thish shtupid thing and whatsh he do? hic -
He just leavesh in the middle of the -hic- night. We were gonna shell that thing and be shtinkin' rich! -hic-
<Salton takes another swig from his flagon.>
Shay, you have any gold on you, mishter?
Where's this person who took the jewel?
Haha, that'sh the funny part. Lishen, he went and got himshelf -hic- caught! Shtupid shcallywag tried to kill someone.
They got him over in Tol Dagor with the resht of the trash -hic-. If he's shtill got it on him. I'm willin' -hic- to be the only way you'll get it fro him ish by prying' it from -his- hish dead handsh.
Shay, you won't try to kill me too, will ya? -hic- I ain't never done nothing to ya.
Lishten, I'll jusht go somewhere else and shober -hic- up. Shallor's honor, haha.
After completing the dungeon, you return the jewel to the shrine:
As you affix the gem back into the center of the shrine, a strange pulse emanates from it. The shrine, now whole again, beings to hum with energy.
Repairing the Second Shrine
The Alliance questline takes you to Drustvar (
O Altar do Anoitecer
,
Gemas elementais
) while the Horde quest goes to Vol'dun (
O Altar das Areias
,
Dunas salpicadas de sol
).
O Altar do Anoitecer
:
There are two more shrines here on Kul Tiras.
I believe this next one resides within Drustvar, near the Bleak Hills Mine, southeast of Corlain.
Here are the notes on that shrine. Should it also need mending, I'm positive your skills with jewels can meet the challenge of repairing it.
Once you find the shrine, you pick up
Gemas elementais
and investigate Gol Osigir for
Lascas de Kubilina Impecável
:
Inspecting the shrine, you realize that several of the gems embedded on its surface are cracked and need to be replaced.
Checking your notes, you find that the earthen had extracted the gems from some earth elementals to the south.
Looking at your map, you wonder if he was referring to the ruins of a once-ancient settlement that has become littered with constructs and undead.
Perhaps investigating these will yield some clues as to where to find these jewels.
You return to the shrine with the
Lascas de Kubilina Impecável
:
You begin to remove all the cracked gems from the shrine and carefully start placing the new ones in.
Placing the final one, a pulse radiates from the shrine, as the light in the area seems to draw into it.
That strange, similar glow now emanating from the shrine leads you to believe it is once again active.
You then return to Samuel and report you've fixed the shrine:
How fortunate for us that the inhabitants of that area used the same rocks to create their constructs from.
I suppose luck is on our side in the quests for these shrines.
Repairing the Third Shrine
The Alliance questline sends you to Stormsong Valley in
O Altar das Tormentas
, followed up by
Sob a superfície
. Horde go to Nazmir in the similar quest
O Altar do Alvorecer
, followed up by
Renovação reluzente
.
O Altar das Tormentas
:
Yes, I believe there are a few here in Kul Tiras. You should visit them, <name>, investigate them. See if what this book says is true.
This particular shrine he mentions sounds like it may reside near Brennadam, in Stormsong Valley.
It should be fairly easy to find. If my calculations are correct, it should be just north of that town.
Here are the notes on that one. And I've marked its location for you on your map. Good luck, <name>.
In
Sob a superfície
, you must prospect the nearby area for Shards of Golden Beryl.
Upon your investigation you discover that the shrine has a couple locations where jewels appeared to have been located, but no longer exist.
Additionally, the center jewel appears to have several cracks in it as well.
Checking your notes, the earthen mentions having prospected the jewels from a nearby mountain to the northwest.
Perhaps you can prospect the earth in that area to find more of the jewels.
You are then able to repair the shrine:
Using your tools, you carefully shape the jewels and affix them into the empty slots on the shrine.
Using the remainder, you are able to fill in the cracks of the center jewel, giving it a flush surface.
As you place the final jewel, a similar pulse of energy radiates from the shrine as the light in the area seems to draw into it. A strange glow now emanating from the shrine leads you to believe it is once again active.
You then tell Samuel you've fixed the shrine:
Oh, back already? That seemed quick. Or maybe I've just had my head down in this journal for too long and have lost track of the time. How'd it go?
<You recount your finding of the shrine and the replacement of the gems.>
Excellent work! I truly wish I could leave my shop for a while to see them for myself, but I'm afraid that's just not possible.
Still though, it's exciting to be a part of this adventure in one way or another.
Shrine by Alcaz Island
Samuel has been researching more shrine locations through the journal:
Samuel D. Colton III: While you were away, I've been going through the journal trying to discover more shrine locations.
Samuel D. Colton III: I believe I know where a few more might reside, but it's in rather hostile territory.
Samuel D. Colton III: They're down in Zandalar. Perhaps you could tag along with the 7th Legion on their next incursion.
Samuel D. Colton III: Before you leave though, I believe I may have discovered how to obtain the lens the earthen was using at the shrines.
O capítulo perdido
While trying to figure out where the shrines reside, I came across an entry that mentioned him exploring an area that sounds very similar to Dustwallow Marsh.
He mentions hiding something of great importance there.
It's a long shot, given when this earthen roamed Azeroth, but perhaps if you were to retrace his final steps you may find something.
I'll mark the location on your map.
You fly to Dustwallow Marsh, finding a wreck and
Weathered Journal
:
<Thumbing through the journal, you find a few entries that catch your eye.>
Day 3.
Found a weird, stone platform on one of the little bits of land sticking out of the ocean today. Not sure what it is, but it looks really old! There are these really tiny slivers of jeweled rock across the surface. I'll probably come out again tomorrow and do a little diving to see if I can find any more.
Day 6.
I found it! Holy smokes did I find it! A huge cave underneath Alcaz Island. I mean, this thing is gigantic. Haven't gone in yet. Probably contains a huge monster. Maybe a whale shark?
Day 10.
Finally got my stealth swimsuit finished. Going to venture into the cave today. Hopefully this isn't my last entry.
<You see some blood smudges written along the next part.>
Oh yea, there's something in there alright. It did something to me, but I was able to get away. Got something out of it, too. A nice small jewel. Should fetch me a sack of gold I figure.
For now, just going to lie down and take a quick nape to recover. This wound should hopefully heal soon.
<The remaining pages are empty.>
You then swim to the lost cave underneath Alcaz Island! It's guarded by a
Vault Guardian
:
Vault Guardian: WHO DARES ENTER THE VAULT?!
Vault Guardian: You shall not recover my master's treasure. Prepare for annihilation, intruder!
With the Vault Guardian slain, you loot
Capítulo Perdido
and return to the capital city to get it translated. With this knowledge, you are able to learn
Desenho: Foco do Quebra-joias
.
What did you find?
<You had the final chapter and its transcription over to Samuel. As he reads through it, he reaches the pages with the design for the lens and his eyes go wide.>
You've found it! We can construct a lens now and use it with the shrines.
Although, the reagents for this design are quite...rare. But nevertheless you've done it!
It was an honor to work with you on this.
Jewelhammer's Focus
Foco do Quebra-joias
has two benefits:
Allows the holder to interact with shrines around Kul Tiras and Zandalar, focusing the light from the zone through the lens in order to create a geode of gems.
Using the focus, carefully extract an embedded gem from one of your socketed items. This allows you to reuse gems.
To craft this item, you need the following:
10
Expulsom
5
Olho-de-kraken
50
Pólvora de Azerita Refinada
from Ashvane Company NPCs in Tiragarde
Luneta Cravejada de Diamantes do Arlão
from
Arlão Mel
in Freehold dungeon
Geodo de Azerita Bruta
from
Azerokk
in MOTHERLODE!! dungeon
