Heart of Azeroth Still Gives Bonus Threat Multiplier for Tanks in Shadowlands
03/12/2020 em 02:45
The Heart of Azeroth has a large amount of secondary stats for its Item Level, making it useful for many players who are still gearing up in Shadowlands. Tanks who have the Heart of Azeroth equipped are also still benefitting from a large bonus threat multiplier.
Heart of Azeroth and Threat Bonuses
Tank Threat has been a popular discussion topic during the Shadowlands Pre-Patch and Shadowlands Beta, with many tanks commenting that they were having issues holding threat off of DPS.
Throughout Battle for Azeroth, Threat was hotfixed multiple times in order for Tanks to be able to hold threat:
In Patch 8.2, each Essence slot that was unlocked gave 9% bonus threat, for a total of
In Patch 8.3, the Essence slot change was removed and replaced with a
increase for wearing the Heart of Azeroth.
In the Shadowlands Pre-Patch, Blizzard provided a baseline
11% Bonus Threat
to all Tanks.
The Heart of Azeroth currently has a large amount of secondary stats for its Item Level, which means that many players are continuing to use it until they got a Mythic 0 neck with good stats.
For Tanks, the Heart of Azeroth still provides a 1.5x threat bonus for those who have the neck equipped, meaning that if you still have the neck on it'll be much easier to hold threat. When you do get a higher item level neck, you'll be losing a large portion of your threat bonus when you remove your Heart of Azeroth.
For Tanks, you will currently generate Threat as follows:
Tanks gain threat equal to
of damage done.
With the Heart of Azeroth equipped, Tanks will gain threat equal to
Damage dealers gain 1 threat per point of damage done, so this is a large threat boost for tanks that decide to continue wearing it!
