Redditor Radulee has created a
map of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms of Azeroth
, using the online fantasy map maker
Inkarnate
. This version of the timeline, which appears to be sometime between late
Burning Crusade
and early
Wrath of the Lich King
, has a few notable features which post-
Catalcysm
players may not realize: Thousand Needles is still a desert, the Barrens are whole, Uldum is missing, Pandaria is still shrouded in mists, and even Northrend is missing although it may simply be off map.
The unique style of this map is really fun, with the colorful design being compared to the turn-based strategy series
Heroes of Might and Magic
. We've seen many
World of Warcraft
maps before, such as Sturmbart's epic
Atlas of Azeroth
, but they tend to be more precise real world recreations, rather fantasy interpretations, though this version fits the colorful art style of WoW very well.
