With no BlizzCon this year, president J. Allen Brack has addressed the community recapping Blizzard's developments in 2020, as well as revealing that
BlizzConline in February 2021
will be free to watch! February 2021 also marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of Blizzard Entertainment.
In addition to discussing the challenges caused by the global pandemic and Shadowlands delays, Brack also talked about how proud he was of his employees as well as fostering an environment that valued inclusivity and social justice, citing measures taken to curb offensive language and behavior across Blizzard games. He then shared some fun statistics highlighting the lighter side of Warcraft:
There have been over 10 million barbershop visits since the Shadowlands pre-patch.
6.5 million Frost Protection Potions have been crafted leading up to WoW Classic Naxxramas.
There have been 9 billion ghosts and wisps in WoW Classic.
100 million characters have been created in WoW, with over 1.5 billion levels earned!
