BlizzConline is imminent - two days away - and speculation is rampant about what will be announced. Eager fans are keeping an eye on Blizzard's every move in hopes of a hint of what is to come. As was reported on
BlizzPlanet
, changes to the Alpha/Beta access help screens have been noticed. Those help pages that were updated
this week
are:
Diablo IV
Diablo: Immortal
World of Warcraft
For Diablo IV and World of Warcraft, the pertinent changes are to the lines that relate to the existence of an Alpha or Beta testing program. For Diablo: Immortal, a lack of a cached version of the page leads BlizzPlanet to speculate that it is a newly created page. Note none of these pages unequivocally states anything to get excited about, but they do give us a hint as to what may be at the top of Blizzard's mind.

Diablo: Immortal: a brand new page?

So what could this mean? For Diablo IV, perhaps the long awaited fourth installment, announced at BlizzCon 2019, is ready for Alpha/Beta testing. This is news that Diablo fans have been waiting for for years now and would be a very welcome announcement. Diablo: Immortal has been in development for a few years as well. This mobile addition to the Diablo family is already posted for pre-registration on sites like
Google Play
and we saw a Technical Alpha earlier this year. An announcement of early access or Beta testing would not be a surprise.
And what about World of Warcraft? It's far too early for an announcement about the next expansion, so that seems unlikely. Many fans are hoping for the next logical step after the Classic servers, which have been active for several years. This would be, of course, The Burning Crusade servers. A stand alone, step-back-in-time version of The Burning Crusade would likely be very well received - and that's what this fan is betting on.
