Xamã Guerramalho

Eles ficam na área de "Ruínas Garfaveira" em Nagrand. Eles dropam bastante Etertrama, que você pode usar para upar profissão.
E eles dropam também o item Colar de Guerra Obsidiano que serve para upar reputação com Os Mag'har através da quest Mais colares de guerra!

(Ambas as quests são repetíveis. Você pode completar quantas vezes conseguir no dia)

You can grind these while grinding Aldor rep in the Oshu'gun Cave. I tend to end up with a twice as many powders from here than any other spot and you get Marks of Kil'jaeden and motes of shadow.

The best place I found to farm these is sunspring post. The scavangers have very low hit points for the silver they drop and drop powder samples nearly as often as the harder mobs. They're also much more concentrated and easier to kill than the demons in osh'gun.

It takes approx 1 hour to get 20 Oshu'gun crystals by grinding in Burning Blade Clan Ruins.
On top of that you get approx 1200 Kurani rep (or "Magmar") and 50 warbeads which can be used for either more Kurani (or Magmar) or Consortium rep.

You really don't need to activley farm for these in my opinion.

Simply doing the nonelite "mastery" quests- and very little else- gave me the requisite 4 research tokens for the Steady Talasite plans on my alt. Doing everything would give me enough for the pants, belt, and possibly the bag.

Of course, I'm assuming you're not going for the mount. If you ARE... then, uh, nevermind.

Ok, maybe someone else can confirm this too since right now its speculation.

So, I noticed it when I was leveling in this area but didnt put it together until today after deciding I'd grind for my War Tulbuk.

Basically, yesterday I was grinding a little and these were dropping at a good pace. Then today I go to grind more and I don't even think I got more then 10 in an hour. The thing I noticed was yesterday the opposite faction then my own (Alliance) had Halaa. Then today while grinding we (Horde) had Halaa. We'll while I was grinding a raid formed and Alliance finally got Halaa back. So, I started grinding again a hour later and guess what, I get like 10 powder in 5 mins.

Conclusion, if the opposite faction then your own has Halaa its time to grind.

I think the idea of the powder dropping more when the other faction has control of Halaa is a bit of superstition. I was farming my last 40 powder (2 tokens) for the Dark War Talbuk while a battle was raging at Halaa, which resulted in it swapping from the Horde to the Alliance. I didn't notice any change in the rate at which they were dropping.

To be honest, grinding these would be hell for a healer. I started doing it on my pally (my main, and who I was getting the mount for) and realised I would be there for a year. So I hopped on my hunter (separate account), dual boxed with my pally just on follow and lightly healing if needed, and only using him to loot if a powder dropped. Using the hunter instead of the pally made things much easier, so if you're a healer, I recommend commissioning a dps friend to help you out. ^^

Also, if you're a skinner, I highly recommend farming them on the Talbuks around Skysong Lake (the lake to the north of Garadar). In the time it took me to get 40 powder, I ended up getting roughly 10 stacks of Knothide Leather and 10 stacks of Knothide Leather Scraps - that is, I also stand to make a decent profit from this endeavour. =)

And finally, after you've gotten your research tokens... if Halaa is predominantly controlled by the other faction on your server, just wait for the weekly reset/downtime. When the servers come back up Halaa is neutral with no guards, so unless the other faction has the same idea, you can claim it fairly easily. ^^

If you need Mag'har reputation in addition to Oshu'gun Crystal Powder Samples, killing either the ogres (at any location), the Murkblood at Sunspring Post, or the demons in the Oshu'gun crystal is a good idea. Killing the ogres is by far the best way to accomplish gaining Mag'har reputation and powder, though, because the ogres can drop Warbeads, which of course can be turned in for either Consortium or Mag'har reputation.

If you do not need Mag'har reputation, however, I advise focusing on something entirely different: the Voidspawn around the Oshu'gun crystal. Many of the things are present. They are spaced out a bit from each other sometimes, so having an epic flying mount is a major benefit to quick kills. They are very easy to kill and do very little damage. They also seem to drop Crystal Powder at a high rate and, even better, they drop Motes of Shadow frequently. An hour of concentrated killing of the Voidspawn can net around 50-60 powders and several Primal Shadows.

Oshu'gun Crystal Powder Sample does not drop for players until level 64. I killled about two hundred ogres and elekks in Nagrand before while I was grinding out the last few bubbles of level 63, and I didn't get a single one until I hit level 64.

Actually what I did was I headed over to sunspring post and found the groups of scavengers, cast Seed of corruption on one of them and then once the seed connected, I shadowburned him, instantly killing all 3 :D

Best place I've noticed as a pally to farm these, is the 'Ancestral Grounds' at the NW of the Spirit Fields. All the Agitated Orc spirits are fairly easy to kill compared to ogres and Terrorguards, and their droprate is up there as well at an 8% Even better as a prot pally you can easily pull 7 at a time, consecrate, holy wrath, exorcism etc and they drop like flies

It seems from WoWHead that there are two versions of this item, a Horde and an Alliance one.

If so, I suspect the drop rates are a LOT better than listed here, as the powder will only drop for players of the right faction.

I have just personally killed 1600 Nagrand ogres for Mag'har rep, and received powder at a drop rate of 13.0%, approximately double the average drop rate for Ogres given here.

Also of note is that you can't have more than 100 of these at any time, even if some are in your bank.

I was farming Mag'har rep and collected 17 of these then it just completely stopped. Hours later when I was back at my bank I noted that I had 83 sitting in one of the bank slots. Turned them all in then went back to farming beads for Mag'har and these powder samples started dropping again.

In 3.1 this item was changed to be turned in 10 at a time, even though the tool tip still says 20.

A very effective and efficient place to farm these at 80 is the Twilight Ridge because of high mob density and fast respawns. You need a flying mount and at 80 the mobs should die easily.

I'm not sure if this has already been posted - I apologize if it has and I missed it.

I've been hunting around for a good spot for a couple days, now. I just decided to try out the Agitated Orc Spirits. On my first rotation, I got no drops. However, after that it seems like they have a very nice drop rate. The respawn rate is reasonable and I've been able to just continue around the grounds without really looking too hard for a spawn.

Note: I would only suggest this spot if you are not concered with reputation. I merely wanted to get my mounts faster from Halaa.

You can find these mobs at the Ancestral Grounds, northwest of Oshu'Gun.

If you use coordinates, the location is 26, 60.

I tried the Vir'aani mobs around the Oshu'gun. They got 6 groups around it and I noticed that they drop an average of 1 Oshu'gun Crystal Powder Sample per group. They have pretty low hp and spawn on their exact locations everytime, this make them easy to farm.

Farming these for the mount as a Leatherworker I find that the Talbuk Thornegrazers outside Garadar, the horde base, are the best way to go. I don't need any other rep from the area but it is useful to sell the items you get.
Not only do they drop the powder but they can be skinned for Knothide leather which still sells well on the AH.
They also drop Talbuk Venison which will also sell as people use it to fast level cooking.
Another advantage, if you are horde, is that the base is very close to sell all the vendor trash you will pick up.
On my server I find that the Thick Clefthoof Leather doesn't sell well so I leave thse beasts in peace :-)

So some of the posters recommended Twillight Ridge, and since I needed the mounts I decided to try it out.

So from 1 hour of farming at the Twilight Ridge I got:

I'm sure there are many great places to farm these, but the place I've been farming is Windyreed Village. They respawn really quickly and you don't have to compete with others that are farming Obsidian Warbeads.

Iv been grinding these for two days, if your thinking of grinding the halaa mounts. its going to be a good grind ahead. Ive got about 120 powder in the first 2 hours, i think the best place to grind is in any of the ogre camps..
Reasons:
1. they drop powder (obviously)
2. they are humanoids so they drop silver.
3. they drop 1-3 cloth quite often (sells 20g a stack on my server)
4. they drop the Obsidian warbeads which can be turned in for 500 with mag'har and 250 with the consortium.

its quite simple this is the best place to grrnd.. your be getting rep with places and gold along with thetwo precious mouts at the end.

I recently started farming the tokens. I have tried pretty much every location people have said to try. The best one so far (this is at level 85) are the spirit fields near Oshu'gun. Circle the entire area killing the Vir'anni Archanist's and the Raiders. If you circle and kill everyone you get about 9-10 every time you circle it. By the time you reach the beginning ( where you started ) They will have re-spawned already. It takes about 7 minutes to circle. So that's about 70 per hour which seems pretty good compared to every where else. It's not always going to be exact but it's a guesstimate. :D Have fun farming. Hope this helps.

I was after the JC recipie purchasable with the Halaa Research tokens on my level 80 Mage, and found the elementals up by Elemental Plateau not only to have the best drop rate for Oshu'gun Crystal Powder Samples, but obviously for motes as well (if you don't need the motes for crafting recipes, the motes sell for a killing on the AH).

I read through all the comments here and tried all the places. They all had the same low drop rate.

Thus, the best place I found is in the southeast of Nagrand, at Kil'sorrow Fortress - not because of the high drop rate, but the high concentration of guys to kill. Many times you can group them up and aoe them down. I go through the whole area, tab out for a few minutes, come back and it's respawned. Killing the whole area will usually net me 5 - 10 dust, plus greens and vendor trash. Even got a blue jewelcrafting pattern today.

I'm going for the Halaa mounts, as I imagine most people are who are reading this. Good luck.

There seems to be an inherent lack of understanding in these comments about what a world drop is and how it works. Though it's nice to have these drop rates listed on the article, they are really unreliable and don't mean anything. For instance the spirits listed as the highest drop rate are also probably the mob in Nagrand that is least killed, seeing as they spawn in one very small spot and are usually only killed during a quest that forces you to do so. As a result they will have a higher drop rate.

The bottom line is that *EVERY MOB* in Nagrand has *THE EXACT SAME* chance to drop this powder. Thus the logical productive choice is to farm it somewhere with a high concentration of mobs; more kills in less time gets better results.

That being said, I do feel like the drop rate in general has lessened dramatically. When I farmed these a year ago I found I got one every 7-10 mobs, and now I am going 20-30 kills without seeing one.

Read the whole post before downrating someone.

The ghost have a higher drop rate because few people kill them, therefore even fewer of those people update to WoWhead. "As a result they will have a higher drop rate" on WoWhead, because the numbers are misrepresented.

I can attest to the Ancestral Grounds being a good farming spot. I had my battle tokens for the mounts, but still needed research tokens to purchase them. I went on this page and only looked briefly at the top, so I headed to Sunspring Post.

After awhile of farming there I realized the drop rate for the powder was extremely low, so I came back on here and read some more. Here's why the Ancestral Grounds are great:

The mobs are humanoids so they drop silver and often netherweave cloth.
It's a tight area so it is easy and fast to make loops.
Important: They respawn very quickly, so even though you are making the rounds one-shotting everything, you never have any down time waiting for more mobs.

Obviously I had my peaks and troughs with the powder drops due to RNG, but overall it was a pretty nicely consistent rate, and for the reasons stated above it was quick and easy. Put on some music or pull up a video, get to farming, and soon you will be sporting two new mounts.

By far the best drop rate and respawn time are the Gan'arg Tinkerers and the other demons around Forge Camp Hate and Forge Camp Fear. Do not waste your time on any other mobs in Nagrand.

I've been postponing getting these mounts since the end of Burning Crusade (5+ years?), but now I finally got around to do it! The process is still very grindy and can take quite a bit of time, so if you're decided to obtain them just lie back and relax while at it. For the Símbolo Halaa de Pesquisa, I found that the best places to farm Amostra de Cristal em Pó de Oshu'gun are where you can round groups of mobs, AoE them down and loot them together. The 4 best spots are:

The Forge Camps to the west: Plenty of demons, easy to pull in groups. You should also try to find a large group of talbuks that patrols around the fields nearby, usually following the path of Bach'lor.
Sunspring Post: Lots of mobs together, you can easily make a route around the area.
The fields between Oshu'gun and Telaar: Many herds patrolling the area, plus you can circle around Oshu'gun killing other things while the clefthooves respawn.
Kil'Sorrow Fortress: There are plenty of mobs around and pretty close to each other.

You could also try to grind the different ogres in the zone and get some Colar de Guerra Obsidiano along the way, but many of them are casters or ranged, which makes them harder to group and farm efficiently. Your best bet is to focus on groups that can be easily pull together.

I found Twilight Ridge a best spot to farm. Take me about one hour to gather 50 crystal powders with 2 mins break during respawn cycle. While I was farming for 350 powders, I've gotten 2,000~ netherweave cloths, 600~ Mark of Sargeras, 45~ Fel Armament.

I used the downtime to read comic, forum, youtube, anything. Then back wiping place clean.

Tips, don't even bother to loot anything else other than those three so you won't have to make a lot of trips to the vendors/mail. I usually hit 100 crystal powders by the time I need to empty out my bags of netherweave cloths to alt.

If you want to farm these in a relaxing way and don't need these, go to Twilight Ridge which is all the way to the west. The mobs spawn in clusters of 4-8 mobs and when you are done killing them you have to wait for respawns (3-5 min), which in my opinion is a good thing. I did test most of the other popular places and found this the fastest powder/hour, even with the wait time.

Farming 350 Crystal Powder at Twilight Ridge I got the following items:

660 Mark of Sargeras

42 Fel Arnaments

1860 Ntherweave Cloth

53 green and 1 blue item

261G from grey items and 101.5G from turning in the powder.

I forgot to count the exact coin drops and gold from misc items like food, water and potions. But I'd say it was around 500G

Here is the route I found to be the most efficient. I was a bit unsure at first, but the twilight serpents definitely also drop powder so kill them too.

Forge Camp: Fear was the location that i had the most luck with. Best farmed with a couple of people because the mobs share spawns. Make sure when killing to kill all tinkerers and engineers! Best of luck to everyone =)
