Ancestral Guidance converts a portion of your damage into light healing while you kill mobs. Echo of the Elements increases our damage output slightly by allowing a second charge of Lava Burst.
This build is centered around entry level dungeons with several passive effects.
In Mythic+ dungeons, having extra oomph in your heals can be important. Increasing Tidal Waves frequency can help with this.
Several of our talents see use in raids based upon difficulty level. Changing talents on the 15/90/100 rows to suit your needs is important.
Patch 7.2 allows Artifact Knowledge to quickly catch up to the rest of the player base, making it easy to gather artifact traits at level 110. After unlocking the Broken Shore and
empowering your weapon
, new artifact traits will become available. The following are suggested priorities for extra traits as you build towards Concordance for both Raiding and Dungeons:
Its important to understand that no secondary stat is a bad secondary stat and they all increase your healing. Maintaining a balance of stats is key, as they all effect each other.
While leveling, simply choose the highest item level gear available, as stats fluctuate too much to bother balancing. At 110, World Quests are an easy source of gear, along with trading in Nethershards for Dauntless and Relinquished Tokens on the Broken Shore. Use the
Legion Gearing Before Raids
guide to learn more, and remember that any gear can randomly Titanforge into a higher item level version, allowing the chance for upgrades from practically any source.
are usually the first priority to collect in raid content, as they provide powerful bonuses not found elsewhere.
are powerful, but limited equipment which are awarded randomly over time. To maximize your chances of receiving them, complete as many Emissary Cache daily quests, Broken Shore world quests for turn ins, Dungeons, and Raids as possible.
Healing is less of a rotation and more of a priority. Resto Shamans have a large number of spells that we like to call "micro-cooldowns" because they are maintenance spells that are frequently cast on a short-ish cooldown.
on cooldown, usually on people taking continued damage over time and to gain
Totem de Torrente Curativa
on cooldown for small passive group healing.
on grouped players who are or soon will be taking damage. Most situations this will be on the melee/tank cluster.
for efficient healing and
when an emergency heal is required for short bursts of damage.
Dádiva da Rainha
is a great smaller cooldown for a large burst of AoE healing on a cluster of players during heavier damage. Using on cooldown as damage allows.
and the resulting
Torrente de Lava
procs as mana allows to contribute damage to a boss or priority target.
during healing downtime is a great way to contribute mana free damage.
Resto Shamans have several cooldowns at their disposal for personal and raid use. Always coordinate your cooldown use with groups as to make the best use of them and remember to use them efficiently by not spending tons of mana on AoE healing that will otherwise be done by your cooldown.
Totem de Maré Curativa
for heavy group wide damage.
Totem do Vínculo do Espírito
is an incredibly strong cooldown for clustered groups of players in the raid taking heavy damage that redistributes their health with other people.
is the only personal defensive cooldown available to Resto Shamans but is powerful. Use this frequently to reduce the damage you take, ensuring you hold it for a large damage event if you know its coming.
