Something of note, that I just found out:

These quests scale in XP, per your level. I powerleveled my hunter using the recruit a friend and granted levels up to 58 then did these quests. They were worth 9k each when I turned them in. Had my friend been online, I assume I would have gotten 9k times 3 XP.

So if you're using the recruit a friend program when doing this, you might keep that in mind.

if you faction change, you seem to be able to get the tame quest again. as above poster said it scales in exp, but it also scales in gold, as lvl 80 you'll get something like 13G.

to bad all my slots are full heh.

Take this magical taming rod that allows a wild animal to temporarily bond and fight beside you. Begin with the crazed dragonhawk, a nearly docile bird found just outside of Farstrider Retreat. Return to me when this is done.
