I can't recommend anyone bother with this quest. it is a very long chain that involves a lot of running around and you will have to level up 3-4 times before its completed, all for a a very mediocre ring with +7 stam and +3 str.

I was with my partner in group and we both were doing this quest together, at one point when we had to fight a guy in sw, we both clicked him and my partner completed that leg of the quest, but mine did not complete. I could not fight him, i tried dropping the quest and went back to Thomas to try to start it again but he had nothing for me. Anyone know what can be done?

I think that this is best chain q on low lvl in Alliance.I like when u speak with man and he run out from inn and outside wait on u with two him friends and start attack on u :) nice "event" and nice chain quest

Is this quest line still in the game since Patch 3.0.2. brought back King Varian?

correct me if i am wrong, but as a level 70 i was attempting to complete the first 3 quests of this chain to gain an exhalted status with the stormwind faction, but they no longer offer reputation, i dont know if it is because i am too high of a level or if the release of wrath of the lich king changed the reputation reward.

I really don't understand why the quest is still in the game since the king of SW is back.

Entire chain gives 606 rep with all home city factions except Stormwind, which gets 3366 rep.

The SW rep gain displayed on this page is incorrect. You actually do not receive any rep for this quest. If you're like me and trying to avoid having to buy a hideous elekk, here is the correct experience/reputation gains for this quest chain. The right column is reputation. I just noticed that while doing this quest chain, the king has actually gone missing! I didn't notice it at first, but when I went to Stormwind Keep to turn in another quest, I noticed that the king wasn't there. Must be some clever use of the phasing technology.

If your going to do this quest chain hoping the last 4 quests will count towards Loremaster of Kalimdor, then don't bother.
They all counted towards Eastern Kingdoms

I still love the irony of passing the KING as you go to the bishop to learn that a diplomat is missing, whom you later find out is the king himself haha.

Damn! I know that it doesn't make sense to search for a diplomat who is no longer MIA, but this chain was easy xp!

I don't know how. I don't know why. But this quest chain is once again available in game. I just picked it up from Bishop DeLavey. Going to ride this as far as I can, and report more later.

During the fight with Dashel Stonefist, you only have to get him down to 0 health, Then the Thugs will back off. So focus on him.
