The amount of time you have to sink into this, even with a big raid group is insane for what is just a recolor of the current fishing pole. I enjoy fishing, but this is taking it a bit too much to the extreme.
Have you tried maxxing the fishing rod?the last level alone takes 3.5 hours if your doing it the most efficient way
I'd kill to just be able to transmogrify it into the Savage Fishing Pole.
Could Wowhead staff please consider adding the daily active fisherfriend to the "Today in WoW" summary on the front page?
I'd love to transmog it into the bamboo fishing pole from Pandaria.
I wish it would be completely different looks and not just recolours :/
We do plan to add it to 'Today In Broken Isles'... don't worry :)
It's bad enough the achievement for all the rare fish still isn't account wide, this seems like a bit of overkill. Especially with such little benefit, the side goodies are okay but really this is mostly for the OCD "must have EVERYTHING' folks than feeling like an organic reward for folks that took the time to get the damn thing in the first place. It's weird because they've softened requirements on a number of other actual artifact appearances but they've done nothing to make the fishing artifact or anything about it any easier. I really wonder what the stats look like, such as the number of players that have unlocked it much less maxed it out, we know they're tracking it.
As I've outlined in the Guide to Artifact Weapons under appearances, the Fisherfriends have a set rotation:Sha'leth > Impus > Ilyssia of the Waters > Keeper Raynae > Akule Riverhorn > CorbynTherefore if you know what NPC is up a given day, you can figure out what NPC will be up tomorrow (or the following day, etc.)
I'm still waiting for Crafty's Pole
there are also several unique items and fishing bobbers from each of the reputations. you dont have to do it if you dont want to but there are plenty of incentives there
I dont think any color will show this fishing pole nice.
Fisherfriend tracking should now be up!
