Here's to hoping they add items to make shoulders, bracers, gloves, and belts able to be rendered invisible. I'd love the freedom of making outfits which really showcase a beautiful robe, for example, without gaudy shoulders or belts getting in the way. I'd also love to be able to show shirt sleeves without them being covered by bracers or gloves.
We need tabard and battle.net bound item system, who gives a #$%^ about rehashed cosmetic models and mogging from your void storage?
The Darkspear Rebellion Gear models are probably placeholders for now. The dungeon set models already have replicas in the Darkmoon Fair. It would be a bit redundant to have another set of it.
Loving the troll barefoot vanity armor, now if only we had the option to hide chest/shoulders - my barbarian character dream would come true. :DNow, probably a silly question, but I haven't followed 5.3 news closely, so here goes: will this 'Darkspear Rebellion' thing be a one time only experience, think Operation: Gnomeregan (which I sadly missed) or will we be able to still do the quests and get the vanity items even after 5.4? Or is there no way to tell yet?
This game gives us so much, beautiful environment, endless updates and patches (that are free BTW), awesome new content, tongue in cheek references to our favourite movies, I find it hard to believe that anyone would take complainers seriously. Are we that blasé a generation?Surely not.I welcome any and all changes that Blizzard bring, and continue to bring a sense of wonderment and excitement to the game. Long may it last!
I think the main reason why the bank/void storage sourced transmog has taken so long is that void storage was not intended for that purpose in the first place. It was really meant to be for "cold storage", seasonal or sentimental items which would see very little if any need for withdrawal but simply being something you did not want to part with. The removal of the keyring freed up the space later to be utilised by void storage, and simply being coincidental in its appearance around the same time. However the API for transmog has for some time supported using void storage and your bank items as sources with some addons even allowing you to use the void storage as a source currently on live.Maybe those prompted blizzard to finally finish what they started.
Bout time they mention about the tab on the transmog. But ya, I think this is way better then taking out something in void, mog it then repay to put it back in.
Hold on... the cloaks are item level 600? =o
Man....that human character model. Yuck. They really need to update the vanilla race models asap.
Last year the April Fool's joke was recolored transmoggable legendaries, along with a few things that were a little more plausible. I asked if any of the plausible things were true, and was told wowhead would never mix real and fake news. Cosmetic armor was also in this year's April Fool's Day joke. So, is cosmetic armor a real thing? And if so, does that mean Earth Week is going to be a real holiday?
Ive always found the various limitations to mugging to be a load of crud anyway. I can understand some of them, for the sake of technicality (like trying to program being able to mog a staff to a class that cant use staves, or class sets, to a different class) but plate not being able to mog to cloth? or mail? is that because the change could mess with the various "full set of plate/mail/leather/cloth gives bonus stat buff" passives? its just... if that's the case, they really don't seem to be trying too hard to fix such things...Maybe I wouldn't mind if basically all the armour wasn't just painted on, and actually had some mass to it (exception of helms, boots, gloves and shoulders of course) it just seems odd to not allow plateys to mog to cloth, when you can get plate that looks like a robe, and cloth shoulders that look more armoured then the plate shoulders.
Already patch 5.3 stuff? Oy..... It takes alot to stay on top of things, doesnt it?
