Found a bunch around 78.0, 54.7. Be sure to check not only the bottom of the water but the surface as well for floating carcasses.

Pack of floating Sparkleshell Tortoise bodies also can be used to do that quest.

I also found a large collection of corpses along the south-east lake floor. Running on the bottom seems to move faster than swimming so I picked up 10 corpses relatively quickly.

Due south from the boat at the old basilisk ruins area is a great spot for this.

77,87 has a lot of basilisk corpses, found the spot after collecting most others randomly as I found them.

I didn't find many carcasses in the chasm. The best bet seems to be sticking to flat ground; there were an abundance near the entrance to the Shimmering Deep.

You don't even have to leave your River Boat to collect those at the surface.

If you spent a lot of time grinding here pre-cataclysm, this quest is quiet easy. Any of the areas that used to have regular zone trash now contain the corpses used for this quest.

Essentially, from Fizzle and Pozzik's Speedbarge just swim or epicly underwater drive north. If you remember how it used to be, this area has a crater filled with basalisks, salt plains with scorpids and what not, then north along the ridge line were groupings of turtles. It's all the same, the mobs are still there (albiet not as alive as they used to be), everything is just under water.

So just swim around the old grinding areas, collect some corpses, done.

A tip when you are underwater, run on the ground. You will actually move faster.

for those of you without coordinates its by the GIANT whale shark...as far as i know its just a constant dead carcass...wont come back to getcha :P and no you cant loot the dead whale shark as a carcass :(

Another good way to find these if you're not using coordinates is to remember The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker - look for flocks of seagulls flying around! They usually circle around a large pack of turtle corpses.

Don't try to find the carcasses from the gorge (where the treasure chests are) at the bottom of the lake! I used a good five minutes that way before I realized I should be looking for the carcasses either from the planes at the bottom or from the water surface. >_<

I found a bunch of carcasses at 70.89, 76.14. And just like Lightor says: remember to search both on the suface and the bottom.

I found that just heading to where the old insect mobs used to be (67,86) and running along the ground will get you more than enough carcasses in a very short time.

Hey lady, can I use treasure hunter carcasses instead? For every dead creature on the sea floor there's ~9 southsea divers guarding them :L

What worked for me on this was turning up my graphics halfway and swimming on the surface. With the graphics up, you can see the floating turtles shells. Two bunches make the ten.

You can find various dead mobs to loot at around a corpse.

I found 5 turtles floating together on the surface just west of the Southsea Holdfast label on the map.

Make it even easier...
make a macro,
/target saltstone crystalhide
/target scorpid reaver
/target sparkleshell tortoise

add any others you can think of, spam the macro and it'll find whatever's close to you. follow the dots on the minimap and you're done!

Just fly and look for birds, they fly around carcasses.

you can find them with finding " Saltspray Gull " the birds that fly above them , then loot them . quest will be done .

Best way for me was to search the surface of the water.
There will be seagulls flying over turtle corpses, easy to see and each group packs 5 carcasses.

Found many carcasses at 82.6, 54.3 - bow of sunken ship sticking out on the depths floor - sparkshell tortoises.

Deep down in the Shimmering Deep, there's tons of dem from when the water came rushin' in. Killed all of dem creatures. Go down there and bring me up some.]
