Had to start this one from level 1 fishing. Just did it right beside the guy who gives you the quest.

Caught my first Darkshore Grouper at Fishing lvl 26.
Got the last one at Fishing lvl 45.

Easy quest, especially if you plan to level fishing anyways.

Simple , buy a fishing pole ,attach the thing that gives u +50 fishing and Just fish :D ! True it'll take some time but it's worth it : P

I got my first grouper at level 45. 2nd at level 53. Third at level 58. And fourth at level 63.

I didnt get a fishing pole when started quest needed to buy one with my main and mail it to my char
started from scratch with fishing got mine at 19 -> 49 (no bait)

1st between 1-4. (Wasn't paying attention & by the time I wanted to check, my chat thing didn't go back far enough.)

Make sure you're using something to boost your fishing skill, or this is going to take you about an hour, at least.
You can buy shiny baubles (+25) at the trade supplier nearby, or if you have another character you can mail yourself something better.

It took me until 55 fishing to get my first one, then I added a +25 boost and got the other 3 fish within about 10 more casts.

It takes awhile to get the first one no matter the level. I went back to get this on my higher level character.

Started at fishing 299
Got my first one at fishing 301 (about 18 fish later)
Got my last one at fishing 303 (another 16 later)

Maybe not as much fishing as if starting from skill 1, but still took some time and 34 fish to get the 4.

this is frustrating, my character won't use the fishing pole. It just stays on her back. I trained to fish at the npc, bought the fishing pole and the bauble for it.

Please no 'you're stupid' comments, posting this question is embaressing enough.

HOW do you get them to start fishing? AFTER I added the bauble to my fishing pole, I right clicked on the fishing pole in my inventory, it replaced her two-handed weapon on her back. Someone said to stand next to the guy who gave this quest, so I'm doing that right now. I clicked on the water and she doesn't fish. I right click on her and she doesn't fish.. I tried to click directly on the fishing pole and nothing happens..

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

BTW I figured like everything else, she'd start fishing once I see fish and right click on it, but so far all I've seen in the water is clams and crabs

okay.. I found some fish, but had to go deep into the water to do it! Using her fishing pole underwater she killed some fish but they stayed in the water. I think she's hitting it with her pole instead of fishing .. so still need help.. ANYONE? PLEASE?

This quest gets you one fish closer to Oceanógrafo.

Open up your spellbook, then click the proffesions tab and you should see a fishing Icon, you can either click that or click and drag it to your hotbar and use it from there. be sure you're facing the water and not UNDER water. And be close enough to the waters edge. =]

I had difficulty with this quest b/c I couldn't seem to get fishing to work. I had fished successfully in Darnassus and reached journeyman fishing but I couldn't get my character to cast a line here. I was very confused.

The trouble was that I had put the fishing action on my action bar. It seems that when you go to a new level of fishing, there is a new action for it. My old, beginner, fishing wouldn't work. When I cast from the professions page it worked. When I put the new icon (which looked just the same) in my action bar it worked.

Just thought I would mention it in case anyone else got stuck in the same silly way.

Grinding through loremaster, 525 fishing + hat + hat lure + Mastercraft Kaluak Fishing Pole.

Took 6 casts to get 4 standing right next to the questgiver.

I did this with my level 13 Wogen Hunter-Marksman. I got the quest with no fishing pole, NP, my Wolfmeat Level 85 Warrior-Fury supplied the level #1 fishing pole and 10 Babbles lures via mail. I fished next to quest giver, starting level #1 fishing until level # 37 fishing when I got my 4th fish for the quest to be completed. Turned in the quest. Level up.

Got my first Garoupa da Costa Negra at level 15 with Vara de Pescar and Miçanga Brilhosa attached, and the 4th at level 26. I started this quest with fishing at level 1.

Thought I might mention that you don't have to actually catch the fish, they are not soulbound and you can catch them even without the quest. In other words, you could get them from a friend, an alt, or in the auction house. I used a ten minute lure, caught the four I needed in about five minutes, fished out the remaining five lure minutes and caught eight more fish. I sent those in groups of four to two other characters, they got the quest and just turned it in.

No bait, hopped on the ledge, started fishing and after a while, got them in order in an amazing consecutive line like so:
1 - 53
2 - 54
3 - 55
4 - 56
Not surprising at the time, but seeing all of your results, I'm pretty satisfied with my twenty minutes.
@xxRevolver : That's right, twenty minutes from 1-56 as well as finishing the quest, not "an hour, at least." What a downright terrible exaggeration. Besides, they wouldn't put the quest on WoW if it took a whole hour out of the time of a level 14 character's leveling experience.
